Monster Hunter Outlanders Free to Play Game

Capcom has teamed up with TiMi Studio Group—the creators behind popular mobile games such as Age of Empires Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Pokémon Unite—to introduce an exciting new chapter in the Monster Hunter series. Titled Monster Hunter Outlanders, this free-to-play game is designed to bring the iconic franchise to mobile players, blending multiplayer hunting and expansive open-world exploration. The game will incorporate in-app purchases to unlock additional content, as confirmed by TiMi Studio to IGN.

The reveal trailer offers a glimpse into the game’s vast world, featuring classic monsters like Anjanath and Great Jagras. Staying true to the Monster Hunter series, Outlanders includes diverse biomes filled with opportunities for both exploration and combat. One standout feature is the gliding mechanic, similar to Link’s glider in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Despite being a mobile game, the graphics are detailed and visually impressive, setting a new bar for mobile gaming. Players can embark on solo hunts or team up with friends for multiplayer adventures, all while enjoying the authentic Monster Hunter experience tailored for mobile.

“It’s time for mobile players to fully enjoy what makes Monster Hunter one of the most beloved franchises in gaming,” said Dong Huang, producer at TiMi Studio Group. “Monster Hunter Outlanders not only offers players an authentic hunting experience, but also a massive open world and social systems to keep them engaged.”

Unlike the augmented reality gameplay found in Niantic’s Monster Hunter Now (released in 2023), Outlanders focuses on delivering a more traditional hunting experience. The game will feature iconic hunts, dynamic world events, and community-driven activities, ensuring players have plenty to keep them coming back. Although a release date has yet to be revealed, TiMi Studio has announced plans for several playtests to refine the game.

Meanwhile, Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds continues to gain traction on other platforms, attracting over 463,000 players during its early access phase. The full release is set for February 28 on Xbox, PS5, and PC.
